For admission in B.Tech mechanical engineering you have to clear JEE. The cuttoff varies as per the year in the year 22 batch they got at 95 even (general) if you are from categories like OBC/sc/st it vary even up to 90/87/85. As in the same pattern, the cuttoff for female candidate is different.
Admission requirements can vary from year to year and depend on various factors like students appering inJEEand no of seats avilable in collages. Few other factors like candidates droping from the college.

Yes, NIT Meghalaya offers five courses in different streams, including Computer Science (CS), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical Engineering (EE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), and Civil Engineering (CE). Yes, if we talk about National Institute of Meghalaya, there are few kind of scholarship available, basically it depends on the category from which you belong .
If you are from SC or ST category you don't need to pay any tuition fee you just have to pay hostel and mess, and apart from that, you will get government scholarship from various scheme as per my knowledge what my friends are getting is around 60-70 thousand per year so from that only you can pay your college fee.
If you are from general or OBC category then it depends on your family income, if your family is making less than 2 Lacs you don't have to pay tuition fees

We are having a letter grading system it goes like for the grading of the students based on the performance as per the evaluation scheme and Later Grades shall be awarded. The faculty awards the grades with the highest grade SA then AA, AB and it goes like that. The marks system is not relatively in NIT Sikkim and you will be awarded genuinely according to your individual performance.
How SGPA is calculated (semester marking)?
It is the weighted average of grade points secured by the student in the credit courses taken by him and is given by the expression:
