Students have to submit some documents for NIT Surathkal admissions and applications. Thhe list is as below:

• Admission order issued by Competent Authority.
• Original marks card of qualifying examinations (First to Final Year).
• Bachelor's Degree Certificate/Provisional Pass Certificate issued by the University
• Course completion certification from the college (if qualifying degree exam result are awaited)
• Original Score Card of valid CAT or MAT or CMAT.
• Date of Birth Certificate
• Certificate by employer ascertaining the duration of work experience.
• Caste Certificate in case of SC/ST/OBC.
• EWS Category Certificate - If Applicable, issued by the Competent Authority after April 2026.
• Caste certificate as per prescribed format for OBC candidates – if applicable from the Competent Authority issued after April 2026.

• Transfer Certificate issued by the college last studied.
• Conduct Certificate
• Sponsorship Certificate (if sponsored)
• Migration Certificate from the university.
• Medical Certificate.
• Photo ID proof as per Govt. of India norms (Copy of Aadhaar Card)
• Two Passport Size Photographs

According to the NIT Surathkal cutoff 2026, the round 1 cutoff ranged from 1605 to 24609 for the General AI category. Students who want admission in the first round have to attain a rank of at least 24609 if they belong to the General AI quota. 

For the General HS quota, the same round cutoff varied from 3184 to 30911. Please keep in mind that other categories, quotas, and rounds will have different cutoffs. 

NIT Surathkal JEE Main cutoff 2026 was released for the first round for categories belonging to the All India and Home State quota. The cutoff was declared in the form of opening and closing ranks for various BTech course specialisations. 

Yes, you can use the same OBC-NCL certificate for both NIT Andhra Pradesh and NIT Karnataka, but only under certain terms. The certificate must be issued by a competent authority after the first of April of the admission year, clearly stating your non-creamy layer status and conforming to the central government OBC format. More importantly, your eligibility for the home state quota depends on the state where you completed your Class Twelve. For instance, if you passed from Andhra Pradesh, you qualify for home state quota only at NIT Andhra Pradesh, and not NIT Karnataka. In that case, you would fall under the other state quota for NIT Karnataka, even if the same OBC certificate is otherwise valid for category purposes

It is unlikely to get Computer Science Engineering (CSE) at NIT Trichy or NIT Surathkal with a 94.54 percentile in JEE Main Jan 2025, especially under the ST category. While 94.54 percentile is a good score, top NITs like Trichy and Surathkal have very high cutoffs for CSE, typically requiring percentiles above 99.5, even for reserved categories.
