With a 96 percentile in JEE Mains as an OBC female candidate, you have a good chance of getting into NIT Surathkal, but it might depend on the specific branch and the cutoff trends for that year. While you might not get into highly competitive branches like Computer Science, other branches like Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical could be achievable.

Getting NIT surathkal with 88 percentile in JEE Mains and belogs to SC category and having home state quota is nearly possible but not guaranteed as it depends on many factors:
- According to SC category marking criteria, they usually have relaxed cutoffs but it depends upon the overall performancr of students in your category
- Home state quota can be helpful for other best NITs and it will give you an advantage.home state students generally have lower cutoff than other state students but for NIT surathkal, competition is still difficult even with home state quota because it is one of the top NITs in india
- Cutoffs for courses like computer s
