Usually civil engineering students go for a masters degree or a Ph.D. program. Many of them get admits into various abroad universities. This is the trend I have mostly observed among my seniors. As per my knowledge very few core civil companies visit our college NITK, Surathkal. Some of them include L&T, BPCL (Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited) and the pay offered by BPCL is really good considering the fact that it is a PSU and hence includes more benefits. This depends on the cut-offs this year. Comparing it with last year cut-offs might be helpful to an extent.

Step 1: Write JEE-Mains
Step 2: Apply on the JoSAA portal for college allotment
Step 3: If you don't get through the first round wait for the next.
And if you get through, then report to college and confirm your admission and pay the fees!
PS: Do well in JEE Mains.
