NITT and NITK both can be considered for B.Tech as they are constantly on the top of the list. You can go through the syllabus of both the colleges and decide.

Since I reside in NITK I personally find the hostel and food satisfying! Cannot compare with IIT Madras because I haven't been there yet!

If you consider the teaching quality all the institutes are at par with each other. but if placements are taken into consideration you can consider IIT Delhi and NITK.

Admission into NITK Surathkal is only through JEE Mains and SAT (only for the ones who did a part of their schooling outside India). You cannot get in through any other CETs.
