NLJS offers admission to LL.M. course based on CLAT scores followed by the CLAT Counselling. Candidates expecting to take admission in NLJS must have a valid score between the below mentioned range of opening and closing ranks for LLM offerd at NLU kolkata for the CLAT Round 1 All India ranks for the General category candidates:

Well, this is a very complicated question to be answered. Both these law schools are at par with each other, be it academics, mooting (though GNLU is doing substantially better of late), placements (NLU-J takes this one, but it’s all about the batch size) and other basic criteria. Now, let’s break this question down and try to answer it from an unbiased and rational point of view.

As per NIRF report 2023, out of 82 students, 54 were placed during WBNUJS Kolkata LLM placements 2022. Earlier, out of 42 LLM graduates, 15 were placed during 2021 placements. From 2020 to 2022, an increasing trend was observed in the number of LLM students placed.
