According to the NIRF report 2023, a total of 5026 students were placed during the 2022 placement drive at Calcutta University. The median package offered to BA LLB and LLM students was INR 9.20 LPA. However, there is no placement cell at the Faculty of Law, and most students practice in court or pursue higher studies.

NLJS offers admission to LL.M. course based on CLAT scores followed by the CLAT Counselling. Well, this is a very complicated question to be answered. Both these law schools are at par with each other, be it academics, mooting (though GNLU is doing substantially better of late), placements (NLU-J takes this one, but it’s all about the batch size) and other basic criteria.
