The students who are a part of the sports and athletics teams at Northeastern University are called to be the Huskies. They have competed in 13 varsity team sports in activities such as Hockey, Baseball, Basketball, Volleyball, Swimming, Soccer, and Cross Country.

Northeastern University is known to be a part of the Division I athletic teams as well as their club and intramural sports. The university has more than 19 Division I athletic teams in the Boston campus. Other than this, Northeastern includes over 25 intramural and 64 club teams for students in their Boston, Oakland and London campuses. Some of the sports offered at the university include Lacrosse, Rugby, Ultimate Frisbee and Badminton, etc.

It might not offer any scholarships to US citizens but they offer merit based scholarships to indian students based on their application and academic record.

Northeastern University offers residential dining facilities for students on campus and the main Boston campus accepts Meal plans, Guest Meals, Dining Dollars, Husky Dollars, and Bonus Bucks. The university is known to offer several meal plans for students where they are required to be enrolled in a traditional meal plan as well as for continuing students. All full-time students at the university can avail the option of Traditional Meal Plans or Community Meal Plans.
