Northeastern University does offer an MS programme in Data Analytics Engineering online. The online course provides 100% flexibility to students. The programme remains fully online in order to accommodate working and nontraditional tech background professionals. It covers specializations such as data visualization, database design, and data mining, preparing students for roles like predictive modeling analyst and advanced software engineer. The course fee is $3,000 per course and can be completed within 18 months.

Students can opt to include 4-8 months of full-time, paid work in the field of AI as part of their programme experience. The MS AI is offered by the Khoury College of Computer Science which offers partnerships with top tech companies as well as a range of large organizations, creative startups, and mission-driven nonprofits across a diverse range of industries. 

Work experience is not strictly necessary to apply for the MS in Artificial Intelligence at Northeastern University.  The programme is specifically opened to students with some level of programming along with a math background yet real-life experience is not a required qualification for admission. However, it remains a benefit to the students because they could take a co-op or internship opportunity under arrangement during their studies. Thus, such will give the student some industry experience.
