The OET validity is determined by regulatory authorities that are going to require your OET scores. The official website of OET does not provide a duration for the validity of the OET exam. It is advisable to check the OET official website for the latest comprehensive details about Occupational English Test (OET) results.

While both the exams measure the English language abilities of the candidates. It is important to understand the admission requirement before applying for the test. Candidates should keep in mind that while the OET exam is limited to healthcare professionals, the IELTS exam covers a more generic base of students.

The OET official website does not provide a duration for the validity of the OET exam. Candidates are required to check with the concerned authorities (e.g. boards and councils, government departments) that recognize the OET exam about the duration of the validity of the results. Authorities vary on the basis of countries and professions. For example, in the United Kingdom, the Nursing and Midwifery Council govern the nurses, whereas those in New Zealand are governed by the Nursing Council of New Zealand.

Use the official OET study materials. They are the most accurate. You should also look at guides from publishers like Cambridge Boxhill or Kaplan for extra practice tests. Use different resources. This helps you get ready for all question types before the real exam.
