If you've completed your medical studies and have a good command of English, two months is generally sufficient for OET preparation. Your knowledge about medical terminology and syllabus will help you in answering questions of the exam.

The OET is designed for 12 specific healthcare professions and candidates belonging to a similar discipline are advised to take the exam. As part of the OET Exam Pattern, the exam requires candidates to solve healthcare scenarios during the English and Communication Skills tests.

Students who appear for their OET would be graded on a scale of 0-500 in ten points increments. The numerical score would be further mapped to a separate letter grade for each subtest with (alphabet A) denoting the highest to (alphabet E) denoting the lowest. There is no overall OET grade.

The difficulty level of OET and IELTS exams depends on the test taker's language proficiency. The IELTS exam is more focused on the academic and immigration English test used across all fields and professions, while OET is only for healthcare professionals like doctors, nurses and more.

Neither exam is easier than the other. Both IELTS 7.5 and OET B show you have an advanced level in English. It depends on the strength of the candidates, they may find OET simpler to understand, as it is healthcare related and tests the language you use in daily practice.
