The eligibility for OET at home is same as other test formats under Occupational English Test (OET on Paper, OET on Computer at a venue). We have mentioned few of them here:
- You must be a healthcare professional (or nearing completion of your qualification).
- For Indian test-takers, a valid, original passport is mandatory.
- There's no specific age restriction to take the test.
- OET does not set a minimum English proficiency level to register for the test, but the test itself is designed for intermediate to advanced English users.
- You don't need a job offer or university admission to be eligible to take the OET.

No, you do not need to have any work experience. OET does not have a minimum work experience requirement to be eligible to take this test. A specific hospital or medical board you apply to later might have its own experience rules for hiring or registration.

Use OET sample papers to understand the test structure and practice time management for each sub test. It will also help with identifying strengths or weaknesses. Also, it helps you to familiarize yourself with healthcare related scenarios and language used in the exam.
