OET

The OET score uses a simple A to E letter scale. 'A' means the highest score possible. Each part of the test gets a score from 0 to 500. There is no one final grade, only separate scores for each skill.

Candidates who have successfully taken OET can 2026 expect their scores to be released approximately 16 working days after the test date. Official score release dates are announced on OET's official website.

The difficulty level of OET and IELTS exams depends on the test taker's language proficiency. The IELTS exam is more focused on the academic and immigration English test used across all fields and professions, while OET is only for healthcare professionals like doctors, nurses and more.

Neither exam is easier than the other. Both IELTS 7.5 and OET B show you have an advanced level in English. It depends on the strength of the candidates, they may find OET simpler to understand, as it is healthcare related and tests the language you use in daily practice.

A C+ grade is a good OET score given to the person getting marks between 300-340 and a C to those who have obtained marks between 200-290. This means that the candidate can maintain the interaction in a relevant healthcare environment despite occasional errors and lapses.

No changes have been announced for the OET exam. Overall exam pattern remains consistent, with no modifications to the four sub-tests: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. Changes to the OET (Occupational English Test) exam can only be made by the official conducting body, Cambridge Boxhill Language Assessment (CBLA) only
