No, admissions to medical, dental, AYUSH and allied courses in Odisha are done on the basis of NEET scores only. Scores of OJEE or the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) will not be considered for medical or allied course admission. Hence, candidates seeking admission to medical and allied courses in the state of Odisha must have appeared, or plan to appear for NEET and qualify for the exam as well. Admission to Odisha NEET counselling will be done for 85 per cent state quota seats and is conducted by OJEE Counselling Committee.

Aspirants should start preparing for the OJEE exam at least six months before the test date.  This duration will be enough to complete the OJEE syllabus thoroughly and practice ample number of mock tests. The OJEE exam is similar to other MBA entrance exams so if a candidate has appeared for any other MBA exam before OJEE, they need to only do exam based preparation and focus on exam-specific mock tests. OJEE 2026 exam will likely be conducted in the second week of May 2026.

The eligibility criteria is that candidate mst have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 75% in Science stream.
