English is the language of instruction for the majority of the programs at Ottawa University. All international students are required to demonstrate proficiency in the English language. The minimum English language requirements for international students are:

Ottawa University offers a number of undergraduate and graduate programs to international students. It offers 51 undergraduate programs, 19 postgraduate programs, one doctorate program and 5 certificate programs. Ottawa University offers a variety of courses across a wide range of subjects including: Business Administration & Management; Science & Kinesiology; Biology; Elementary Education & Teaching; Accounting; Engineering; Sports Studies; and Applied Psychology etc.

International students can apply online to any course at Ottawa University. However, after submitting the application form, international students are required to pay an application fee. The application fee will depend on the level of study. For undergraduate courses, the application fee for international students is USD 50. Whereas, for postgraduate courses, the application fee is USD 75 per applicant.

Ottawa University is one of the universities that do not publish official data on the acceptance rate. However, as per some unofficial sources including EduRank, Ottawa University acceptance rate is 67%. With an acceptance rate of 67%, it is moderately selective in admissions. However, for some popular courses, the university is more selective than normal.
