OUAT Entrance Exam

Candidates must know that they need to follow the guidelines and instructions on the day of the OUAT Exam as mentioned below:

• The exam will be conducted in a single sitting.  The candidate must appear for the entrance examination as per the scheduled time and date mentioned in his/her admit card. 

• The candidates are to report 2 hours before the examination. Detailed instructions will be provided on the admit card.  

• No Mobile phone headphones/any other electronic gadgets are allowed during the examination. Candidates, who are found to use unfair means shall be debarred from the examination.  

• The candidates are to obey instructions of the Centre Superintendent and Invigilators at the Examination Centre. 

• The invigilators will take attendance on the attendance sheets in which the candidates shall have to put their full signature against their corresponding roll number.  

• The candidate has to follow the COVID protocol (if required as per Govt. guidelines and if mentioned on the admit card).  

• The candidate after logging in must go through instructions for the examination displayed on the computer screen.  

• The examination does not require using any paper, pen, pencil or external calculator. However, paper will be supplied for rough work which will be collected by invigilators.  

• Each student will get questions and a choice of answers in different order selected randomly from the affixed Question Data bank. 

• The students just need to click on the Right Choice / Correct option from the multiple choices/options given with each question. For Multiple Choice Questions, each question has four options and the candidate must click the appropriate option. 

The entrance examination will be held in CBT mode for the Master’s programme and the entrance examination for a doctoral programme (Ph. D) will be held in offline mode in the third week of July 2025, tentatively. The exam is conducted for Veterinary Science candidates in Bhubaneswar only. The OUAT Admit Card can be downloaded from the OUAT website) and the candidate must bring the Admit card with original identity proof to the Examination Centre for verification. Without an admit card and original ID proof, the candidate will not be allowed into the examination hall and hence, will be debarred from appearing in the entrance examination.

OUAT UG Syllabus: The UG syllabus is related to the classes 10 and 12 topics. 

Physics: Topics such as Electromagnetic Induction, Alternating Currents, Optics, Atoms and Nuclei, Electromagnetic Waves, Properties of Solids and Liquids, and more.

Chemistry: Includes Atomic Structure, Chemical Bonding, Molecular Structure, Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, and Physical Chemistry.

Biology: Covers Genetics and Evolution, Ecology and Environment, Biology and Human Welfare, and more.

Mathematics: Topics like Binomial Theorem, Vector Algebra, Sequences and Series, Trigonometry, Differential Equations, and more.

OUAT PG Syllabus: The PG syllabus is related to the topics relevant to postgraduate studies, all those subjects candidates studied during their UG courses.

The Kashmiri Migrants/ Kashmiri Pandit (Non-Migrants) / Kashmiri Hindu Families (Non-Migrants) living in Kashmir Valley are not required to appear in the OUAT PG Entrance Examination - 2024. Interested candidates must apply online, without which admission is not allowed. The selection of these candidates will be made from a separate merit list prepared based on the highest OGPA/percentage of marks in Under Graduate programme. Without OGPA/marks of qualifying examinations, the application will be invalid. In case of a tie, it will be resolved considering the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination followed by Class 12 science and 10th standard in that order.
