Hi.

I cannot tell you the exact number of colleges in Delhi.

The exact number changes depending on whether you count only recognised degree colleges or also private diploma/training institutes.

Hi.

No, NEET is not required for every paramedical course in Delhi. It depends on the specific course and college.

For example, AIIMS New Delhi's B.Sc. Allied & Health Care (formerly B.Sc. Paramedical) courses use an AIIMS entrance examination, rather than NEET-UG. The 2025 admission process required candidates to appear in the AIIMS B.Sc. Allied & Health Care entrance exam.

Generally

  • DMLT / Medical Lab Technician → Usually NEET not required
  • X-Ray / Radiology Technician → Usually NEET not required
  • Operation Theatre Technology → Usually NEET not required
  • Dialysis Technology → Usually NEET not required
  • B.Sc. Allied Health/Paramedical →

NO, AIIMS Delhi does not use NEET score for BSc Nursing admission. It conducts its own separate entrance exam for paramedical admission. The exam is conducted twice a year. It is usually conducted in May and Nov. Students need to prepare for this exam and not for NEET only.

AIIMS Delhi is the best paramedical college because of its low fees and good clinical exposure. It offers courses such as BMLT, B.Optom, Post Basic, etc., with good hospital training, along with others like Jamia Hamdard, Jamia Millia Islamia, and University of Medical Sciences, with good faculty, proper infrastructure and placement. All the colleges will give you a good start in your healthcare career.
