Getting a part-time job while studying at the University of Malaya, is not difficult for international students or native students as well. International students with valid visas are allowed to work for 20 hours per week during their regular academic sessions. Typically, international students who are studying at the University of Malaya, enrol in part-time jobs which include working at mini markets, hotel staff, restaurants, and petrol pumps among others. Students are permitted to enrol themselves in part-time jobs for 20 hours per week, during their regular academic session. Students can work up to 40 hours per week during their breaks and vacations. Some of the popular sectors for part-time jobs for students studying in Montreal include Retail and customer service, Tutoring, Hospitality, Sales and marketing, Administrative and office work, Event management, etc. Some part-time job opportunities are available on campus and off-campus, and students can work up to 20 hours per week during regular academic sessions.  Red Bull also offers a part-time job opportunity for HEC Montreal students as a student marketeer.

Although there aren't many jobs available on campus, Hec Montreal's Career Management Services may be able to assist students in finding work. International students enrolled part-time are not allowed to work unless they are nearing the end of their programme. If so, students are permitted to work off campus up to 20 hours a week.
Students may work both on campus and off campus, as long as they meet the requirements for both government programs.
