Getting a part-time job work opportunity while at college can provide you with extra money and increase your professional skills. Cornell students will be able to locate hourly student employment opportunities on the Student Job and Internships posting page as well as in Workday. Students are advised to check both sites for employment opportunities.

On-campus employment: Students on an F-1 visa can work on campus for up to 20 hours per week during the semester and up to 40 hours per week during winter break and summer vacation as soon as they start their studies. To obtain employment clearance from the Office of International Student & Scholar Services, a student must be enrolled full-time, maintain excellent academic standing, and meet all other requirements. You can get permission by completing the On Campus Employment Form.
