Of course it's indeed great idea to pursue PhD part time. You must do it. It's actually quite simple. You have to clear an exam to become eligible for PhD. Yes, it's a good option. I would recommend you to explore Executive MBA rather than distance MBA. An Executive MBA has inbuilt advantages compared to distance MBA both in terms of duration & curriculum.
