The Punjab State Legislature founded the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL) in 2006. In addition to offering a PhD in a number of specializations, the university also provides an integrated B.A.-L.L.B. Hons. (Bachelor of Arts-Bachelor of Legislative Law) programme. No, direct admission to the LLM programme at Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Patiala is not available. Admission to the LLM programme at RGNUL NLU Patiala is based exclusively on the merit of the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). Candidates must have passed the LL.B./B.L. Degree examination from a recognised university with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates) to be eligible for admission to the LLM programme at RGNUL NLU Patiala.

As of now, CLAT Round 3 Seat Allotment results have been released for NLU Patiala cutoff 2025. The All India opening and closing ranks for NLU Patiala for the B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) is 1279 for the General category.
For the LL.M course, the All India opening and closing ranks for NLU Patiala is 1310 for the General category All India candidates.

CNLU releases the round-wise CLAT cutoff for admission to NLU Patiala to B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and LL.M. in Criminal Law courses. As per the CLAT 2024 Round 1 Seat Allotment result, the All India opening and closing ranks for B.A. LL.B. (Hons) are 502 and 1129. For LL.M. in Criminal Law, the opening and closing ranks are 90 and 774 for the General category candidates.
