• Application for Provisional registration- A candidate applying for provisional registration shall furnish all the information in the form prescribed together with the prescribed fee within 30 days of his / her admission in the Departments /Colleges / Institutions

Students who are looking for admission to Ph.D., programme at Periyar University, a candidate should have obtained a Master Degree with not less than 55% of marks or an equivalent grade. For the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer)/Differently abled and those who have qualified for the Master’s degree before 19th September 1991 the minimum eligibility marks shall be 50% in their Master’s degree

Admission to the course is on the basis of an entrance test conducted by the university followed by an interview round. Periyar University admission rounds are conducted by the Department Research Committee. The final selection is based on applicants’ performance in the PhD entrance test, interview, and PG course.

An Entrance Test consists of both a written test and an oral interview. The written test will be conducted for 40 marks and an oral interview for 10 marks at Periyar University. Candidates securing 50% aggregate altogether shall be declared eligible for admission. Those candidates who scored at least 15 marks on the written test will be called for an oral interview.

Periyar University offers MBA course for a duration of two years. MBA (General) course is approved by AICTE. Apart from MBA (General) course, the university also offers MBA in Export Management. As per the placement statistics of the year 2022, the overall median package offered for two-year PG courses was INR 3 LPA, which is higher than the package offered during the placement drive of the year 2021, which was INR 2.50 LPA.
