If you are in final year of MA in English in IGNOU then you are eligible for admission in PhD in English.
Those candidates who have completed Master's degree with above 55% marks from a recognized university with above 55% marks are eligible for PhD course.
There is no age criteria for PhD course but you must have a valid UGC NET score card.

1. Eligibility: You need to have Master's degree in relevant subject. Some institutes/ universities allow exception to this rule for engineers and Doctors.
2. Now according to new UGC rules coming into force from 2009, you need to clear some sort of entrance exam/ interview to get admission for Ph.D program.
3. After getting admission for Ph.D program, you need to complete some course work for requisite credits.

You can evaluate doing Ph.D in management from FMS DU, GGSIPU, DTU and IGNOU in Delhi. You may evaluate TERI University if you want to do Ph.D in environmental management.

Ph.D in USA is mostly fully funded by the universities. It is difficult in Europe, if you get a scholarship will depend on your profile and the university however atleast 40 to 60% must be borne by you. If you get a full scholarship, consider yourself lucky. For admissions, you need to contact the universities or the department supervisor, you must share your research interests and topics with them.
