It depends entirely from one university to another. Some universities seek M.Phil admission first and later on the basis of M.Phil they provide admission into Ph.D. Some universities provide direct admission based on entrance tests or based on NET/SET examinations. Coming to business schools, they do not provide Ph.D degree but provide equivalent degrees like, FPM. All the best.

Do you mean Banaras Hindu University? If yes, they won't provide you a scholarship for your Ph.D. abroad. The university abroad, Aberdeen University in this case will have Ph.Ds. funding options, you should check with the university itself.

PhD is a very specialized study. I can suggest application of electronics in managing non-conventional power sources viz. solar or wind turbines. Improvement in their efficiency, improvement in transmission, loss reduction are some of the topics that I can suggest.

Yes, chances are there. You need to get in touch with the universities and professors having similar research interests. Look for a post-doctorate, you have to proactively search on the university websites and communicate with them, share your topics, publications, etc. It is a time-consuming affair but you have to be patient.
