Hi Shivani. It doesn't matter if you belong to a commerce stream or a Science stream. Firstly you can undergo a pilot training course once you have passed out of 12th. Another option you can go for is appearing for an NDA exam to get directly to the training of an air force pilot. Some training centers allow students from commerce backgrounds. Minimum age limit: 17 years. One needs to provide a complete medical checkup Certificate. The candidate needs to be fit physically as well as mentally.

Fee details of GFTS Bangalore for CPL: CPL with Cessna 172 P/S endorsement only : 20 /21 Lakhs (This package includes admission charges and charges for conduct of theoretical/ground classes, Flight Training. For CPL 06 lacs will be paid at the time of admission, rest amount to be paid in 03 more installments after every 03 months.

The CPL course of Bombay Flying Club offers 200 hours of flying training this 8-10 months course offers dual/ solo, general flying, circuit & landing sorties. Instruments and cross country flights, skill tests, route checks and night flying rating as per DGCA requirement. As per the information available on various website, the CPL fee can be between 21-23 Lakh.

The Fee structure of CPL course is varying from 20 to 45 Lacs. Government. Flying Institutes are charging less fee in comparison to private flying Institutes. There is no fee concession in CPL course after doing the A.M.E. Course.

The eligibility criteria and fee details of CPL course at Government Flying Training School, Jakkur Aerodrome, Bangalore are given below.
Eligibility criteria :
Min Age 17 Yrs.
-10 + 2 Passed with Physics and Maths from recognized board or equivalent.
-200 hours flying training followed by passing practical and written exams.
-Duration 24 months.
-No maximum age but not advisable for candidates above 35 years due to cut off age for airline recruitment.

Hello IB Teja, for becoming a pilot, one needs to take admission in a flying school for getting personal or commercial pilot's licence. You can also become pilot by joining specialist branch of the armed forces. Best wishes to you.
