The 2 new task types that have been added to the PTE exam are - 

1. Summarise Group Discussion 
2. Respond to a Situation 

The current PTE Academic Exam syllabus consists of 22 task types split across three integrated sections, i.e. Speaking & Writing (76-84 min), Reading (22-30 min) and Listening (31-39 min). The overall duration of the PTE test is 2 hours and 15 min but usually test takers complete it in 2 hours only.

The Pearson Test of English (PTE) is an English language proficiency test that is computer-based and often considered to be more flexible and faster in terms of results compared to IELTS exam. PTE is scored out of 90, and it assesses speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. IELTS is more widely recognised globally and has both paper-based and computer-based options, but it is often perceived as slightly more traditional in its testing format. Both tests are accepted by a large number of universities worldwide.
