Yes. Volunteering helps students improve their CV, build new social connection, and take a break from University work. Students can contribute to geriatric care, such as Parkinson's UK - community mapping or volunteer educator, fundraising, environmental conservation such as Tropical Ravine Restoration project, fundraising for Horn of Africa People's Aid NI, mentoring young generation and kids, advocacy for human rights such as ending domestic violence or empowering people who suffer from dementia, health promotion that includes positive physical health, mental health, and social inclusion, etc.

When we talk of degree-level placements, Masters in Finance proved to be the most remunerative degree. It helped the Queen's University Belfast students bag an average annual salary of £89,000. Doctorate was the second most remunerative degree that fetched an average annual salary of £71,000. As the academic levels increase, average annual salaries also rise. Masters of Arts degree was the least remunerative and attracted an average annual salary of £25,000. Other degrees that performed well when it came to remunerative were LLM, Bachelor's, and Masters in Science.

QUB students must keep themselves updated with the latest job postings, career events, job fairs, etc. In addition, students must practice multiple mock interviews so as to perform well on the actual job interview. 93% of the QUB graduates were in employment and / or further study 15 months after completing the course. Also, QUB ranks at #9th in UK for graduate prospects as per Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2026.

In terms of acceptance rate, the University of Birmingham is more selective. It has an acceptance rate of around 13%. Whereas, Queen's University Belfast acceptance rate is around 31%. According to The Guardian rankings 2025, QUB ranks at #43 and the University of Birmingham ranks at #36. Choosing to study at either of these universities would depend on students' choice eventually.
