On the whole, food quality in the hostel mess of Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Mumbai is satisfactory to students. Mess provides vegetarian and sometimes non-vegetarian varieties to ensure proper nutrition. Hygienically prepared food caters for the diet of students. Through regular feedback from students, quality and variety of dishes get improved. It accommodates the taste and diet of many students to a considerable extent, but the food served could still be home-like and balanced in general. More importantly, the mess comes along with a clean and cozy place for dining. It may depend on individual preferences, though.

Yes, Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology has an extremely active placement cell which works for the students in getting job as well as trainings opportunities. Placement cell tries to organize campus recruitment drives with leading companies and industries to bring to the doorstep of the students a comprehensive variety of job roles.

Since the year 1992, undergraduate and postgraduate degrees are offered by the college in engineering and technology. The MHT CET is an entrance exam for admission to BTech and BPharma courses at Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering, Research and Technology. Admission is based on the candidate's performance in the MHT CET and subsequent counseling rounds.
