Yes there are B.Arch courses in Ramaiah Institute of Technology and they take place in the School of Architecture which is adjacent to the engineering buildings. It is also autonomous (affiliated to VTU) just like the engineering courses. It started in 1992 and currently offers two courses:- B.E in Architecture Engineering and Master of Architecture - Landscape. The Council of Architecture and AICTE recognizes these programs.

The overall campus size of Ramaiah Institute of Technology is 85 acres. This includes the Ramaiah Institute of Technology, the adjacent campuses of Law, arts and sciences, management college and the alumni building. It's a decent campus size given the congested nature of Bangalore colleges. But, it comes in nowhere close when compared to NITs, IIITs and IITs.

The faculty overall in RIT is decent. Obviously there are some needles in a haystack. But that is everywhere, even in the leading institutions such as NITs, IIITs and IITs. Most of the faculty members here are supportive, lenient and all of them are either Ph.D. holders or pursuing their Ph.D. right now in the subject. For the optional subjects, you have to be careful though and Research a bit about department first before choosing any subject.

For the rest of the time, develop your skills, go out with your friends and have the best time of college life, as you will not get this time again.

There is no strict dress code as such. Do not be too Informal in the academic surroundings, that's all. This is what the handbook for students states on dress code, "Students should dress in a manner appropriate for an academic environment, be well groomed. Tattooing, body-piercing, hair- styling should be refrained from. " Although it is mentioned in the handbook, No one has ever been told to not wear something. So yes, its pretty chill at RIT.
