The eligibility criteria of MCA of Ramaiah Institute of Technology is given below.
Eligibility: Candidates who have passed a 3-year bachelor's degree from a recognized university with not less than 50% of the marks in aggregate of all the years of the degree examination with Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Science/ Computer Programming/ Computer Applications/ Business Mathematics/ Business Statistics as one of the optional subjects/ electives at degree level. In case of candidates from Karnataka belonging to SC/ST and Category-l the minimum aggregate is 45%.
Entrance Exam: KMAT or PGCET any one mandatory
NIMCET is for admission in NITs for MCA programme. NIMCET is not applicable for Ramaiah Institute of Technology for MCA admission.

For admission into B.E and B.Arch course, the institute accepts KCET/COMEDK and NATA scores respectively. Candidates who are seeking admission in M.Tech are required to possess a valid score in GATE/PGCET exam. While, admission to MBA and MCA depends upon KMAT/PGCET score. In case of MBA, MSRIT also considers the score of MAT/CMAT for selection.

Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Electronics as optional subject and have obtained 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/Cat-1 and OBC candidates).

For granting admission in the B.E course, the institute considers the score of KCET/COMEDK exam.
The qualified candidates will get a call to attend the counselling round of the qualifying exam.
During the counselling, applicants need to register online, get their documents verified, fill the choice of course and college.
Lastly, based on the rank and choices, the concerned authority will allot seats to candidates and such candidates need to report at the allotted college to participate in further admission rounds.
