Hello Ssrinishanth, there is no reservation based on caste at SASTRA University and the admission is strictly based on merit. You have good scores and so your chances are higher to get a seat at SASTRA. All the best!

Coming to the placements at VIT, Vellore, it is awesome, and even we got a place in Limca book of records in the latest released records. We get more dream offers that is above 6 LPA. Mainly for this branch, we'll have an additional benefit of the post graduation degree in the hands, so we had a great chance of placing in good companies. But it creates the problem when all the branches of VIT like Chennai, Bhopal, and Amravati are dumped in Vellore for the placements, and you can't say hundred percent placement, but worthy ones will have many opportunities. Around 7000 placements are there in VIT, in which they are divided into 3 types

You have a good score in board exams and JEE Mains. So, you have good chances of getting a seat for automobile engineering at SASTRA University. However, this depends on the competition too.

There is no entrance exam to get admission at SASTRA University. You can get admission based on your board exam marks itself or with JEE Mains marks.
