B. Tech in Computer Science and Engineering viz; SASTRA University-Admittance of Thanjavur is purely merit-based, which includes Class 12 marks and JEE Main. While the cutoff goes up and down with years, it is observed that those with better JEE Main ranks and equally good Class 12 marks stand a better chance of getting in. Most often, competitive ranks will be at play, and preference will be given to people with good academic performance. The tuition fees for B. Tech, in general, are INR about 1,50,000 in a year with an increase of about 5%, annually. Accommodation costs differ with regards to the hostel as well as mess fees. One can

Generally, to get admission into Aerospace Engineering in SASTRA University as a non-local student, the minimum marks in board exams, which is Class 12, usually depends on the overall cutoff of the university for the specific academic year. Since SASTRA University does not provide a particular minimum percentage, usually, an aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics will make one eligible. Admission also considers JEE Main scores or SASTRA's own entrance exam. The higher the score, the better the chances of getting admission as the top branches like Aerospace Engineering may have a very competitive cutoff.

If your class 12th percentage is around 90-95% and 80% in JEE Mains, then you have good chances to get into SASTRA University.

30% of the Engineering seats shall be based on Class XII Aggregate and 70% on the combined Class XII aggregate & 1st JEE Main Scores (75%:25% basis). For all remaining UG programmes (including Law), admissions based on Aggregate Class XII Scores.
