Here is the syllabus for SAT Entrance Examination as per the latest guidelines: 

The examination is divided into five sections: 

•Algebra

•Advanced Math

•Problem solving and Data analysis

•Geometry and Trigonometry. 

Algebra includes Solving linear equations, Interpreting linear functions, Linear in-equalities, Graphing linear equations, Linear function word problems, Systems of linear inequalities word problems, Solving systems of linear equations, Structure in expressions, Isolating quantities.

Advanced Math includes Exponential Radicals and rational exponents, word problems, Operations with rational expressions and polynomials, Polynomial factors and graphs, Nonlinear equation graphs, Solving quadratic equations, graphs, Interpreting nonlinear expressions, Quadratic word problems, Linear and quadratic systems, Key features of graphs.

 Problem Solving and Data Analysis includes Rates, Ratios and Proportions, Direct and Inverse proportions, Percentages, Units, Probability, Center, spread, and shape of distributions, Data collection and conclusions, Table data, Sampling data, Scatter plots, Data inferences, Inference from sample statistics and margin of error, Evaluating statistical claims: observational studies and experiments. 

Geometry and Trigonometry includes Congruence of triangles, Similarity of triangles, Mean proportionality in Similar triangles and Quadrilaterals, Right triangle, Right Triangle word problems, Circle, Circle Equations, Circle theorems, Angles, Arc lengths and area of sectors, Trigonometric functions, Complementary relation in trigonometry.

It totally depends upon the candidate however it is fair to say that it is not everyone's cup of tea to crack the examination very easily. As far as Indian Students are concerned, they need to follow the syllabus and exam pattern very well to be familiar with it . Some questions include new concepts as well, which sometimes becomes a challenge for students hence making it a little difficult to tackle those. However, the right amount of practice and learning will make sure that candidates can approach some new concepts as well. Language barrier is also one of the reasons why Indian students hesitate to appear for this examination, as the higher level of English is seen in the comprehension section, One might find it a little over the board. But it is not impossible, you just need to read as many essays, articles and passages in the English Language as possible to be confident enough.

While some people might tell you that one needs to compulsary join a coaching for SAT Entrance Examination, it is not necessarily true . The examination requires thorough practice and sincere dedication. Some of the tips to keep in mind while preparing for SAT are as follows: 

• Know the syllabus: To ace in any examination, being familiar with its syllabus is the key . Search around internet, dig a bit and get the complete topic wise syllabus for SAT. 

• Choose the right text books: Reading one book ten times is way better than reading 10 books one time and getting confused by the massive knowledge. SAT has some of the standard books which are used by almost all aspirants and recommended by most teachers like Barron's SAT Study Guide Premium, KALLIS' SAT Pattern Strategy, 3rd Edition, Kaplan's SAT Prep Plus, McGraw Hill Education's SAT Elite 2022, SAT Prep Black and more. Choose accordingly and be sure to revise it as many times as possible. 

• Attempt Practice Exams : No amount of revisions are as effective as Test Revision . The more tests you give, the better are your chances of being ahead of your fellow aspirants. There are many education platforms with test materials for SAT Examination, both online and offline. Purchase it and practice regularly. 

• Do not underestimate math section: one common mistake of candidates is ignoring the math section, Be sure to not underestimate its importance. Learn and practice your fundamentals, get used to solving problems without the help of calculators as much as possible. 

In the end, it requires dedication, it is not impossible to prepare for the examination at home.

SAT stands for Scholastic Assessment Test. It is an entrance examination conducted by admission officers of various reputed colleges and universities in India and Worldwide like Princeton University, Stanford University, Austin College among many others. Students interested in admission in any of these colleges or universities apply for this examination. The examination is divided into three sections -
