A two-year the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) Graduate Fellowship Scheme for Engineering Graduates and Physics Postgraduates for the academic session beginning in July/August. Under this scheme, students who have excelled in the selection interviews for the Bhabha Atomic Research Center Training Schools programs and who have also independently secured admission for M.Tech. Or M. Chem. Engineering. In select institutes receive a stipend and tuition fee to pursue an M.Tech. Or M. Chem. Engineering. Degree while retaining their employment in DAE (The Department of Atomic Energy). After completion of 1-year course work at the Bhabha Atomic Research Institute, DGFS Fellows undertake project work, which is assigned by the Department of Atomic Energy and supervised jointly by a DAE and the Institute guide. On successful completion of M.Tech. Or M. Chem. Engineering. , DGFS Fellows are posted as Scientific Officers in the Department of Atomic Energy. Appointment in The Department of Atomic Energy units shall be as a "Group A" gazetted officer of the GOI. On joining, they are required to first undertake a four-month Orientation Course for DGFS Fellows at the Bhabha Atomic Research Center Training School, Mumbai. The DGFS fellows are enrolled and posted in one of the following units of The Department of Atomic Energy, Bhabha Atomic Research Center Mumbai, and IGCAR, Kalpakkam. Placement can be at any of the Bhabha Atomic Research Center facilities located in different parts of India. Allocation of a DGFS Fellow to a The Department of Atomic Energy unit is done at the beginning of the M.Tech. Or M. Chem. Engineering. Programme based on the needs of The Department of Atomic Energy programs and their selection interview and merit basis. Allowances and Stipend During Training provided by BARC:
During training, OCES TSOs and DGFS Fellows are paid a stipend of INR 55,000 per month. One-time book allowance of INR 18,000. DGFS Fellows have reimbursed the tuition fee for M. Chem. Eng. Or M.Tech. And are additionally paid a one-time contingency grant of INR 25,000 to meet M. Chem. Eng. Or M.Tech. Project-related expenses. DAE Hostel is mandatory during the Training period. Selected candidates are required to agreement bond to serve DAE for at least 3-years after the completion of training. The indemnity bond is for 6,78,000 for OCES TSOs and 13,58,000 for DGFS Fellows. The fellowship amount may be different.

IISc Bangalore offers internships to students currently in their second or third year of undergraduate studies every year through their Summer Research Fellowship Programme (SRFP).
Application process:
1- The application form will be available on the official website of IISc Bangalore.
2- The deadline to submit an application is usually around the end of November.
3- The names of the selected candidates start appearing on the official website around the end of February.
4- The internship begins around the may end or starting week of June and is for 2 months.
5- IISc Bangalore, previously allowed applicants to choose the projects and mentors they would like to work under, but this has been stopped this year.
6- You can also email the professor you would like to work under directly to seek out any available internship opportunities.
If you did not get an internship program in IISc Bangalore there are some other options where you can apply directly for the summer internship program.
