Hello Nandini, it's very nice to hear from you that after completion of your B.Tech in electronics and communication you intend to do your Masters in design. Yes you can definitely think of going abroad for this course. This is because most foreign universities normally assess the potential of the candidate for the student about his ability to do research during its postgraduate studies and they do not insist on exactly similar subject during graduation. However admission abroad is not based entirely on your academic performance in India but your 360 degrees performance is normally taken into consideration. In view of this I would like to advise you to approach an agency dealing with sending students for MS the country where you intend to go since that agency would be knowing all the ropes for making your application successful. The eligibility criteria of Diploma Engineering courses of JMI is given below. Eligibility : (I) Secondary School/ High School Certificate of a recognised Board with not less than 45% marks in Science and Maths, or PCM as the case may be (Other than Bioscience). Or (ii) Senior Secondary School Certificate/ Intermediate or an equivalent exam. From a recognised Board with not less than 40% marks in aggregate of Science and Maths or PCM as the case may be (other than Bioscience). So from above if your aggregate marks of PCM in 12th are not less than 40% than can be eligible only. Please write about the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Maths separately for better reply.
