Both the streams are different. Biotechnology is a course that deals with plant biology, genetic engineering, modified and genetic food and crops, agriculture biotechnology and bioinformatics. On the other hand, CSE is a four-year engineering course that includes computer knowledge like computer languages, websites, designing new apps and new software. Both fields are good for bright future, but you have to find your interest in one of them. Job opportunities in both streams are good. Basically, if you want to go for any of the streams mentioned, most important is the choice of good college. Because any college that provides you more practical knowledge with academics is better than other ones. In my area, PCTE College of Biotechnology and Engineering is one of best colleges situated in Ludhiana. PCTE provides best facilities to students with practical exposure to every subject in CSE and Biotechnology like industrial visits to well known companies, guest lectures by experts of industries as well as academia. So, you can make your mind for any of streams mentioned, future in both streams is bright but your have to be updated with practical knowledge with academics.
