The entrance exam ACET there are 15 subjects/exams:
9 in the CT series,
3 in the CA series,
2 (options available) in the ST series, and
1 (options available) in the SA subject. For one to clear all these, it'd theoretically take at least 2.5-3 years. However, rarely anyone would complete it in that time. Also, for full qualification (fellowship of the Institute), work-based experience for three years is necessary. Thus, 3 years is a theoretical lower bound. Having said that, most people generally take 5-7 years or even more to become a fully qualified actuary. Some people don't manage to clear all subjects ever, even after giving exams for 10-12 years.

Therefore, management of forest is urgently required and that is done by forestry professionals. Forestry is the Science of development and care of forest. It is all about management of forest by protecting, conserving and upgrading up forest resources which also include farming of trees used as timber. Issues like global warming, deforestation, global climatic change, water scarcity, natural disasters, etc. , are all related to the effective and controlled use of forest wealth. Career Prospects
As the consciousness among the people for conservation of forest is growing, so also the career opportunities available to Forestry graduates are also increasing. Forestry graduates can take up jobs in various government departments like department of forest and wildlife. They can be employment in NGOs working in conservation and up gradation of forests. Corporate houses involved in timber plantations also need the services of Forestry graduates. They also can take up research work in public sector research institutions like Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE), Institute of Social Forestry and Eco-rehabilitation and Wildlife Research Institutes.
