KVPY SB is a good option if you intend to do your Masters in India and then go abroad for a Ph.D. However, it is also possible to do B.Sc in a good college from India and then go abroad for Masters. The only problem is that a B.Sc is of 3 years and most countries consider a BS for 4 years before accepting students for a Masters degree. So taking all these factors into consideration, getting into IVY League is possible from any institute depending on your interests and how you work for them. But the chances of an IVY League are better in IISER's due to greater exposure to labs and projects.

The basic eligibility for B.Sc in interior designing is 10+2 and B.Sc course is for 3 years or 6 semesters. There are many institutes that provide B.Sc through correspondence or distance learning, however, you will need to check with the institute individually regarding the lateral entry options. Normally, each university has its own rules for lateral entry into its graduate programmes. In case of B.Sc in interior designing, lateral entry is possible for candidates who have successfully completed 1st or 2nd year of degree programme in interior design itself. They would be eligible for admission to 2nd or 3rd year of the B.Sc interior design programme.
Also, candidates pursuing 1st year or 2nd year of Diploma programme in Interior design would be eligible for lateral entry into the 2nd / 3rd year respectively of the degree programme. Furthermore, if you are seeking admission via lateral entry should have a valid gap between your 10 + 2 and the year of admission to desired programme.
