The placement from TNAU for food processing engineering is not up to the mark as the placement from agricultural as well as farm related streams. The companies are definitely visiting the campus but students getting placed in the stream are not even around 80%.
As a gesture of advice, it is more worth to take admission in private institute from CSE or IT which will going to reward you more than the requested college and stream. For the food processing, engineers are hired by the company for testing the quality and to find the cost cutting measures to manufacture a quality product but this stream is unable to find a major scope and for this purpose, companies prefer hiring the students from foreign universities.
From TNAU, the average placements are 3 lakhs and highest may getting upto 6 lakhs.

Manipal Institute of Technology is known for its European culture as well as lifestyle. Almost, all the students are from the elite families get into Manipal though the institution charges a high fee but provides countless facilities and training. The answer to this question includes political as well as logical touch although both the institutions are centrally funded. There is a large gap between the quality of students getting seats in an IIT as compared to the one getting a seat in NIT. Also, the government has to maintain a good image for the technical education system of India so the preference is given to the IITs. Although the amount of money does not very much which is around 3500 crores a year. The money issued for officials working in the institution, the fests held and the job perspective is more for IITs again for creating a good image worldwide. Also, the government is not that much capable of getting the NITs and IITs to the same level. The reason is that one needs to understand keeping in mind the political statistics. NITs are doing too good when it comes to education for a better future scope.

There is a lot of scope for mining as its application technology is updating every day with the increasing population and demand for fuel. Also, there are various start-ups which need highly skilled, dedicated and trained employees and labour for meeting the ever-increasing demand of the population. ISM-Dhanbad is a premier institute funded by the central government and now has become IIT because of its hard work. In the mining studies, the number of students placed abroad is very high as the mining sector do not find a large scope in India although there are many mines related to coal, diamond, iron and steel but abroad the scope is high because of which, students give priority to it as compared to the native placements. The highest salary offered to students of ISM-Dhanbad is 39 LPA where the average being around 12 LPA. The entrance into this institute is through JEE Advanced. Also, one dedicated to the field is only preferred to opt as the future life is going to be very challenging and full of dangers. Although, companies have many precautionary measures still it is a tough task.
