Hello Guna, once a student clears all his backlogs he is on par with his other batchmates who have passed graduation of engineering without any backlogs. However there are some institutions which insist that they will admit students who have passed their exams without any backlogs only. In such cases you will not be eligible to seek admission. However at the government will level no such restrictions have been put by any of the states in India at least at the moment. You are therefore eligible to seek admission through TANCET21.

Students who obtain their graduation degree from distance education and those who obtain their graduation degree from regular college, both are treated on the same footing if graduation is the criteria for getting a seat for MBA. As per year 2020 cutoff of Thiagarajar College of Engineering for B.Tech CSE, the last admitted rank was 2715 with aggregate marks of 190 under the asked category, While for IT the last admitted rank this was 4529. So you have few chances in IT. You may tryout the management quota seats if available there.
