The Government of Karnataka conducts a Common Entrance Test (CET) through the Karnataka Examination Authority. This entrance exam is a gateway to obtain an engineering seat through the Government quota. The CET conducts examination in four subjects namely Physics Chemistry Biology and Mathematics. Candidates who wish to seek admission in engineering courses appear for the Physics Chemistry and Mathematics exams. Based on the CET ranking obtained, candidates are offered a choice of colleges/universities at the time of CET counselling. CMRU can be chosen at the time of CET counselling.

IIT Bombay is among the top design colleges in the country. So, most candidates appearing in the UCEED exam will want to know about the category-wise seat matrix at the institute:
Open category - 15 seats
EWS - 3 seats
OBC-NCL - 10 seats
SC - 5 seats
ST - 2 seats
ST-PwD - 1 seat
Note that candidates belonging to open category will not be considered for admission under other categories. However, candidates belonging to reserved categories will also be considered for admission under open category.

Hi Narain, as far as the Lovely Professional University is concerned, you can take direct admission, however, there are certain programs such as B Tech, MBA and Hons programs in which you can get admission only if you qualify the entrance exam. Apart from that the programs such as BBA BCOMM, and B.A. Programs do not have mandatory entrance tests as an eligibility, you can seek admission in these programs. However, you need to fulfil other eligibility conditions.

Yes, but according to government policies, instructions, rules and regulations. You may visit CET cell website and Directorate Of Technical Education website to find more information about college reserved and open seats available. You can also take help from previous year cutoff list available on CET cell portal.
