In the case of JMI M.A. (Sociology) exam, it would be of prime importance to study certain books such as sociology themes and perspectives by Haralambos and Holborn to have overall comprehension in sociological terms and M.A. sociological theory by George Ritzer to gain insight into the sociological theory. M.N. Srinivas works such as the book, Social Change in Modern India as well as Ram Ahuja, Society in India, is very recommendable to the Indian society. Also, you can also prepare and practice by using question papers of past years with help of Sociology for All Indian Universities MA Entrance Examination published by Khanna Publish

The HSC Sociology exam blueprint under the Maharashtra board typically divides marks across sections like social institutions, cultural processes, social change, and current social issues. Questions are usually structured as short answers, long answers, and application-based questions. Each paper is for eighty marks, with an internal assessment of twenty marks. The weightage of each chapter is mentioned in the official blueprint released by the Maharashtra State Board before the exams, so referring to the official HSC website or your school's academic circular is recommended.
