The exam body SRMIST conducts the SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination every year, which is an engineering entrance exam conducted to shortlist candidates for B.Tech courses at SRMJEEE colleges. The entrance exam is conducted every year and is one of the most popular exams among engineering aspirants.

Based on the most recent and reliable cutoff trends:

The expected closing rank for CSE at SRM-AP (Amaravati) is typically in the 3,500–6,000 range. Even in years where cutoffs relaxed, they did not generally go beyond 6,000 for the general category at this campus.

For main and more sought-after campuses (such as Kattankulathur in Chennai), CSE usually closes much earlier—well within 2,000–9,000.

With a 15,000 rank, you may have options in other branches (like ECE, IT, Mechanical) at SRM-AP or CSE in lower-preference campuses, but pure CSE at SRM-AP is statistically out of reach as per recent years' counseling cutoffs.

To get CSE in SRMJEEE 2025 Phase 1 at SRM Kattankulathur, your rank ought to be around 8,000 to 9,000.

If your rank is higher than this, you may no longer get CSE inside the major campus. However, you can try for other branches or SRM campuses.

With 23,000 rank in SRMJEEE, your possibilities for CSE or IT at SRM Kattankulathur are low.

But you still have precise possibilities of having Electrical engineering.

With 949 rank in SRMJEEE, you may easily get ECE at SRM Kattankulathur campus.

You also get a 50% training price scholarship within the first year.

To maintain the scholarship subsequent year, you need to hold your CGPA above nine.

ECE has top placement alternatives at SRM, so this is a exceptional opportunity for you.

You can look for the campuses in Chennai or in AP, in Andhra Pradesh campus you're most likely to get a CSE or CSE specialization.

Looking at the previous year's data it seems like, this rank may not guarantee you a CSE seat at SRM AP, but you will get non CSE seats with ease. The 2023 test results show that students have got CSE till 30k rank. But the 2024 test results suggests a spike in cutoffs.
