To get CSE in SRMJEEE 2025 Phase 1 at SRM Kattankulathur, your rank ought to be around 8,000 to 9,000.
If your rank is higher than this, you may no longer get CSE inside the major campus. However, you can try for other branches or SRM campuses.

You can look for the campuses in Chennai or in AP, in Andhra Pradesh campus you're most likely to get a CSE or CSE specialization.

Looking at the previous year's data it seems like, this rank may not guarantee you a CSE seat at SRM AP, but you will get non CSE seats with ease. The 2023 test results show that students have got CSE till 30k rank. But the 2024 test results suggests a spike in cutoffs.

Tough one. SRM KTR (Chennai) usually closes CSE around rank 2,000, and for CS-related branches, maybe a bit higher. But with rank 24,000, getting core CSE or even CS-related specializations at KTR is very unlikely. You'll have better chances at other SRM campuses like NCR, Ramapuram, or Vadapalani for CS or IT branches.

Here's the thing: SRM Kattankulathur's CSE branch is super competitive. It usually closes below Rank 8,000–10,000. If your SRMJEE rank is 15,000, getting CSE at the KTR campus is a long shot. You might get CSE in SRM Ramapuram, Vadapalani, or even EC/IT at KTR, but pure CSE? Not likely. That said, internal branch upgradation later is possible; but risky and based on merit.

Students should focus on topics based on their Class 12 CBSE syllabus. The entrance test includes questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology (depending on stream), English, and Aptitude. The test format is multiple-choice and it don't have negative marking. Preparation should start early as the exam can be tricky and competitive. The application fee is INR 1200 per phase, and students can appear in more than one phase if needed to improve their score.
