SSC separates your dossiers or files according to the department allotted to you (prepared during document verification). Dossiers represent your identity. After clearing the SSC CGL exam, candidates are appointed to various posts in different government departments and ministries. Some of the prominent job profiles include Assistant Section Officer (ASO) and Income Tax Inspector. The Staff Selection Commission announced the CGL Tier 1 result on 19 September 2023. SSC typically releases the SSC CGL Result approximately 45-50 days after the provisional answer key is published.

The SSC CGL exam has no sectional cutoff. The SSC CGL cutoff is influenced by the number of SSC CGL vacancies. A higher number of vacancies implies a low cutoff at each stage of the exam. The candidates will be required to check the category cutoff and compare it with their marks as mentioned in the SSC CGL Scorecard. The SSC CGL Cut-Off indicates the minimum score required to advance to the next step of the recruiting process. Along with the cut-off, the commission also releases the number of candidates qualified for the next round of the selection process as well as the category-specific passing grades.

The Assistant Audit Officer (AAO) post group has the highest cutoff among all because of the popularity and competition of these SSC CGL posts and less number of vacancies. The SSC CGL Assistant Audit Officer is a Group B position within the Indian Audit and Accounts Department under C and AG, and uniquely, it is the sole gazetted post filled through the SSC CGL examination and entrance process. The Commission conducted the SSC CGL 2024 from September 09 to 26, 2024. The Commission will release the SSC CGL Tier 1 answer key (tentative) soon on its official website - ssc.gov.in under the candidate's login.

The Staff Selection Commission releases the SSC CGL cutoff for each post group separately with the SSC CGL result. The result and cut off will be based on each post and category. The Commission will release three lists of Category-wise cutoffs and the number of candidates available under each category. The Commission arrives at the SSC CGL cutoff after the preparation of the list of candidates arranged in their order of merit. The Commission will select the candidates as per the number of vacancies (for the exam) in each category. Candidates can visit the official website and check the previous year cut off trends.
