There are negative marks in SSC CPO exam. 0.25 marks are deducted for wrong answers in the exam. For correct answers, candidates score one mark. Candidates are advised to marks their answers properly in the exam to avoid negative markings.

SSC CPO exam duration for CBT 1 is two hours. There are no sectional timings in the exam.

There are negative marking for wrong answers in SSC CPO exam. The marking scheme is given below.
- There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper 1 and 2. Earlier, the negative marking was one-third.
- For the correct answer, candidates score one mark
- Marks scored by candidates is normalised to prepare the result

In 2023. a total of 1876 vacancies were announced for Sub Inspector in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and Sub Inspector (Exe.) in Delhi Police. The vacancies were announced for both male and female candidates. Out of 1876 vacancies, 162 vacancies were announced for SI posts in Delhi Police and the remaining 1714 posts were announced for CAPF. The post-wise and category-wise SSC CPO Vacancy 2023 details are given below:
