The best degrees are mostly in Robotics and Engineering because Japan is famous for machines. Computer Science and MBA is also very popular choice for international students. The Masters degree usually take 2 years to finish. Some business schools have 1 year MBA but mostly it is two years.

The cost is cheap compared to USA or UK. For National Universities the tuition fee is around ¥535,800 per year. If you go to Private University it is bit more expensive like ¥800,000 to ¥1,500,000 per year. You need money for living cost also maybe ¥100,000 every month for rent and food.

Yes Japan is a very good place for Masters. The universities like University of Tokyo is top class. It is safe country and you can find jobs easily in technology and engineering. You can study in English language also so no problem if you don't know Japanese. Also MEXT scholarship is there for students which pay for everything.

3.5 on a 4.0 scale can be enough if a UG program is what you're looking to get into as an Indian student. A 3.0 is good enough for PG courses. Make sure to timely submit your application.

Columbia College in Canada is an undergraduate college for programs like BTech, BSc and BA. The international students can apply for three intakes in a year which are Fall, Spring and Summer. The Winter semester starts in January, Summer in May and the Columbia College Fall semester starts in September every year.
