Saarland University is considered an excellent place to live for Indian students in Saarland.
The German state of Saarland offers low living costs, a vibrant community and very strong academics. Look at the pointers given below -
- Rent and groceries are cheaper than in major German cities. Indian students just have to pay an affordable semester fee of about EUR 412.30 (INR 45.3K).
- Known globally for CS, AI and Medicine.
- Saarbrücken has a lively, French-influenced culture with cafes, parks and festivals

Saarland University has two campuses in the German state of Saarland which are the main campus. The main campus is located in the capital city of Saarbrücken. Look at the location of Saarland as given below -
- The Saarland University Medical campus is there about 65 kms east in Homburg.
- The main campus has most of the faculties which also includes the well known Computer Science department.

Yes, TU Dresden charges a EUR 500 (INR 55 K) per semester long-term fee for students who exceed their program's duration by at least 4 semesters.
Senior citizens do not pay regular tuition, but a pay a reduced semester fee of EUR 40 to EUR 80 (INR 4.4 K to INR 8.8 K) instead of the standard EUR 338 (INR 37.3 K) to audit classes or attend the Seniors' Academy.

Indian students can pay TU Dresden semester fee (worth EUR 338 or INR 37.3 K) via bank transfer (SEPA or International wire) using the exact TU Dresden re-registration details. Cash payments are not accepted at the International Office.

Indian (international) students can expect an admission decision from TU Dresden in about 4 weeks after applying (for un-restricted study programs). For restricted programs (NC programs) or courses that require an aptitude assessment, decisions are generally issued within 4 to 7 weeks.

Yes, Indian students are eligible for up to 50% discount on public transport (trains, buses, and trams) via International Student Travel Pass (ISTP). Students that meet the below criteria are eligible for the same:
- full-time international student, a New Zealand citizen, or a student with refugee status
- enrolled in either a diploma, advanced diploma, associate degree, or an UG degree
Students who don't meet the conditions above, can get a 10% discount on yearly myki pass via Monash Commuter Club.
