Study Abroad

According to Calculus Readiness Requirement, international students are required to submit not just ACT but other requirements also. 

The following will count as readiness for admissions purposes:                 SAT Math score of 620 or above  ACT Math score of 26 or above

The other requirements are Advanced Placement (AP), Calculus AB or BC, International Baccalaureate (IB), Official high school/ university transcript showing credit for a Calculus I (or higher) course with a grade of B or higher. 

Please Note: Make sure to have SAT, ACT, AP or IB scores sent to University of Texas at Austin if international students are planning to use their test scores as proof of calculus readiness. If international students are using earned college credit, then the university will need their official college transcript showing the credit. 

The Cockrell School of Engineering receives a generous amount of donations from alumni, corporations and friends of the Cockrell School. The school awards scholarships recognizing the academic achievements and leadership potential of future students whose sum is more than USD 10 million to undergraduates in merit-based awards. 

Currently enrolled engineering students may complete the Engineering scholarship application by May 1, 2026 to be considered for scholarship awards and renewals the following year. 

The Cockrell School does not offer scholarships to incoming international students applying for undergraduation. Current international undergraduates may apply for a small number of scholarships available by completing the Engineering scholarship application by May 1, 2026. 

The Cockrell School offers various courses for undergraduate and postgraduate students. 

•  For international students the fee structure is a little expensive compared to residents of the USA.  

• The application fee for undergraduate and postgraduate international students is USD 90 (INR 7.71K).  

• The school does not offer scholarship to incoming undergraduate students, but it does offer limited number of scholarships after the international students gets admitted into the school after completion of the Engineering scholarship application by Mar 1, 2026.

• The total fee for international students is USD 69,880 (INR 59.88L) for undergraduates and USD 43,690 (INR 37.43L) for postgraduates.
