VIT Vellore BCA admission is based on merit in the last qualifying exam. Candidates need to pass Class 12 with Mathematics/ Business Mathematics as one of the main subjects and a minimum of 60% aggregate (50% aggregate for SC/ ST candidates and applicants belonging to Jammu & Kashmir and North-Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura) to apply for BCA course. After completion of the selection rounds, candidates need to come for counselling.

The placement details for the batch passing out in 2023 are yet to be release on the official website. However, as per the students’ reviews on Shiksha page, SRM Institute of Science and Technology recorded 90% placements for BTech course in the academic year 2022-2023. The highest and average package offered during the recent SRM Institute of Science and Technology placements stood at INR 21 LPA and INR 3.40 LPA, respectively.
