You need to apply for a single window counseling programme through which you will be allotted seats based on your board exam marks. There is no entrance exam for admission. You may refer www.annauniv.edu and www.tnea.ac.in for more information.

Yes, it is possible that to in a branches like civil, electronics. It is better to prefer other colleges then because branch does matter in placements. You will get CSE/IT branch in category 6th and civil branch in category 1 in Vellore. Let me explain you the admission system here. Rank in VIT to get admission should be 90,000, so you can get admission in VIT from the 6th category as well. There are various categories as well. With each category admission, fees go high. First category closed till 15,000 rank, and you can get CSE till 9000 rank and IT till 11000 rank, but there are 2nd category as well, if you want CSE, but you have to pay more for that. Hi Rohit, the placements are good and the salary packages are nice. We know about the dream and super dream companies. Dream company means it offers more than 10 lakhs per annum, and super dream company means it offers 30 lakhs per annum. If you want to get a job in super dream company, then you have to maintain CGPA 9 in every semester. If you are study minded student then you will definitely grab dream company at least.
